BIG changes to the fashion show

late last night i made an executive decision about the show, and changed the outcome entirely. its wonderful to create something with a possiblity of winning an award, but what do you do with the creation? and even the award? keeping in line with the REusing trend i figured raffling off the creations might be a better solution than just an award. we do still have prizes, so there may still be an winner … like audience favorite. perhaps by ballot? YES. yes that rocks (see some kinks are still to be worked out)

the designers will showcase their creations from 12 noon until 1pm … then the raffling and ballot voting begins. at 2pm audience raffle winners are announced, and the audience favorite is presented with their award.Raffle tickets… will be around $3 dollars, as the earnings will go to the designers for all their hard work. if they choose to auction their works, they will be listed on this blog for all the world to see, and bid on

i personally would love for a professional to determine if my designs are “good’ but i would like even more to know what the general public thinks — especially since they will be the ones to purchase them once i become famous.

so…

* register as a designer FREE of charge

* choose to show REdesigned clothing, or something you have REdesigned in the past.

* next choose if you wish to be part of the raffle, online auction or keep the item for yourself.

i have a bag of donated clothing for the designers, if interested. so hurry up before time runs out.

all ages are welcome to design. in my case, my daughter and i will work together… she will design the dress, and i will sew it. shes 8. for inspiration i will share our process right in here, along with updates from other artists in the show.
